Joe Biden rounded on his predecessor’s handling of the coronavirus epidemic, saying “it was even more dire than we thought”. In his first major interview since becoming president, Mr Biden told CBS news anchor, Norah O’Donnell, the country faced a challenge to reach herd immunity before the end of the summer. The US president said the rate of vaccination had to be accelerated to meet the target of 75 per cent of Americans getting the jab set by infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci.
He’s THE most evil, manipulative covert narcissist/BPD I’ve ever witnessed, and my daughter is suffering tremendously. Physically mentally. CPS is involved but my daughter reminds me SO MUCH of these Plath children. In my answer to Cartwright [2, p. 363], I stressed two points. First, the do calculus enables us to evaluate the effect of compound interventions as well, as long as they are described in the model and are not left to guesswork.
I would go to a bookstore and hang around. Join a class on a topic of my interest. Go to a cafe, sit down and read a book the whole day. A Wisconsin judge on Thursday denied requests to issue an arrest warrant and increase the bond for Kyle Rittenhouse, the 18 year old accused of homicide for killing two people in Kenosha last summer. The Kenosha County District Attorney Office said Rittenhouse violated the conditions of his bail after he failed to update the court with his new address. Rittenhouse attorney said his client had to move due to threats made against him.
The aims of this paper are twofold: to describe a doctoral research project that investigated the theme of openness in fashion, and to discuss a distinctive, practice based approach to design research that emerged through this process. This approach uses the generative processes of designing and making, in collaboration with participants, to investigate research questions at multiple levels: from micro scale practical challenges to much broader social issues. The project in question explored the potential for opening and altering existing knitted fabrics while simultaneously investigating the role of homemade clothes in challenging the conventional fashion system; it also considered opportunities for amateur knitters to engage in creative design.
[Image: courtesy of Uber]The Man Who Put Cars In The SkyThe germ for Elevate came not from an Uber executive, but from NASA chief technologist for on demand mobility, Mark Moore. He and I first met in early 2008 at the second annual Electric Aircraft Symposium, a gathering of aeronautics die hards (including Google co founder Larry Page) at a hotel near the San Francisco airport. At the time, Moore was finishing his PhD coursework in advanced aeronautic vehicles. He described to me a vision for electric planes quite close to what Uber and rival companies like Airbus are now developing.Moore kicked off electric plane mania in 2009 with an adorable concept for a one person commuter craft called the Puffin.
